[ basically after akechi's meeting with everyone about everything that's going on, here comes ken tracking jin ling down wherever he is. he'll have two pieces of paper in his hand. ]
[He's probably wandering around with the folded funerary banner in his hand because he's taking it to someone. But he stops when Ken calls out to him.]
He makes a strange face when he reaches out to reluctantly take them, something caught between amusement and bitterness, sadness. It isn't too far off from how they do fly on swords, but... still. He lowers his head for a moment, and then lifts it again, sighing.]
[ ken watches silently with how the expressions change over jin ling's face and demeanor. he doesn't understand the context of it, but it was definitely important to him and that's what matters.
[ a moment of silence as he...thinks of something to say. just a bit. ]
It's nothing; I'm glad we found it in one piece. [ though maybe not something he should say but ends up saying anyway??? ] I imagine that it's in one piece because of what happened.

he'll offer jin ling a small smile. ]
You're welcome.
[ he'll make a small nod at the banner. ]
That's the banner we found, isn't it?
no subject
Yes. I'm surprised you were able to find it. I thought it might have been destroyed by accident. [A pause.] ...Thank you for that, too.
